MSFS House Koppal

The Koppal mission is the pioneering effort of southwest province in the diocese of Bellary and was started in the year 1994. This is our first mission in the North Karnataka region. Fr. Sebastian Conrad was the pioneer in the mission. Despite adverse climatic conditions and many other difficulties faced by the pioneers we have established the mission there. St. Francis de Sales Church Koppal has been raised to the status of a deanery. There are two schools catering to about 1500 children.

Mission/Ministry
There are only 18 Christian families in Koppal. Besides the parish ministry there are two schools run by the MSFS.

Vision for the Future
Upgrading the existing schools into PU/Junior colleges for enabling continued Fransalian formation in the relatively non Christian north Karnataka region.
