Gurumitikal, Mission in Gulbarga

Gurumitikal is Taluka headquarters of newly formed district of Yadigir, in the wstern part of North Karnataka bordering Andhra Pradesh. Situated at about 550 KMs away from Bangalore, it is 140 Kms away fro Hyderabad and 120 Kms away from Gulbarga. Two of our Young Confreres Fr. Doraiswamy and Fr. Anand Ekka have taken residence in Sedam 60 Kms away from Gurumitikal in view of establishing a mission centre in Gurumitikal. Christian presence is nil and the people are very poor and illiterate. Most of the people are landless labourers.
